Description:
The City of Portsmouth's Department of Behavioral Healthcare Services is seeking an individual to provide professional therapeutic services in a substance abuse outpatient program. Work involves clinical assessment and therapy; case management; crisis intervention; and other ancillary duties.

Education/Experience:
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education or a related human services field; 3 to 5 years experience providing clinical services; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. May require Substance Abuse certification.

Req:
Must possess a valid Driver's License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Qualified applicants may be given a conditional employment offer. Actual employment is contingent upon the satisfactory results of a federal and state criminal background check, using fingerprints and a search of the Virginia Department of Social Services Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, as required by law.
