Description:
The City of Portsmouth's Department of Behavioral Healthcare Services is seeking a highly motivated, professional, self-reliant individual committed to managing the provisions of employment, habilitation and day support services to adults with cognitive disabilities and/or development delays. Work involves managing program planning, administration, staffing clinical service delivery, consumer rights, community relations and ancillary operations.

Education/Experience:
Master's Degree in Administration, Special Education, Social Work or a related human services field. Requires 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in planning, developing and implementing services and programs for consumers with cognitive and developmental disablities, to include supervising clinical staff; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP). Licensure as a professional counselor or rehabilitation provider preferred.
