Description:
Under general supervision, performs technical field work in conducting inspections, surveys, sampling, and testing of water quality in support of City water treatment plant operations. Work involves inspecting potable water connections to plumbing and mechanical systems. Work also involves collecting potable water samples, and preparing reports of inspections and testing results.

Education/Experience:
Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, supplemented with college-level course work in chemistry, biology or a related field; 1 to 2 years of experience in water related work including experience using computers and standard software applications; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Special
Req:
Must possess a valid Driver's License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Must possess a Backflow Prevention Device Tester's License.
