Description:
Under general supervision, performs maintenance and repair on the City's sewage pumps and equipment. Work involves monitoring performance of pumps and motors at the City's sewage pump station. Work also involves rebuilding water pumps, sewage pumps and related equipment. Performs preventative maintenance and maintains records of inspections and maintenance activities. Works in a rotational on-call status to respond to operational malfunctions and emergencies as necessary.

Education/Experience:
Graduation from High School or equivalent; 1 to 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical repair work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Special
Req:
Must possess a valid Driver's License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a Backflow Prevention Device Tester's License or have the ability to obtain a Backflow Prevention Device Tester's License.
