Description:
Under general supervision, operates machinery and equipment in the maintenance, repair and replacement of gravity sewers, sewer laterals, force mains and manholes for the Department of Public Utilities. Must be proficient in the operation of a backhoe in the excavation of deep utility systems and have crew leader experience. Should possess general knowledge in the practices, safety, tools, methods and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of sewer collection systems.

Education/Experience:
Graduation from High School; 3 to 5 years of experience in sewer maintenance and construction work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Special
Req:
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License or Commercial Driver's Instruction Permit with the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Drivers License within 60 days of hire.
